Conductor Inmo Kang

 

Inmo Kang was born in Gumi-city, South Korea.  He earned a B.A and M.M in orchestra conducting in South Korea. After that, he moved to the USA to study at West Chester University of Pennsylvania under the tutelage Dr. Ovidiu Marinescu. He also studied at University of South Carolina with Dr. Donald Portnoy for D. M. A (ABD).

 

Mr. Kang has been the conductor of several orchestras such as the WCU Symphony Orchestra, USC Philharmonic Orchestra, AYU Symphony Orchestra, HSBC Symphony Orchestra, KUMO Orchestra, EPOH Orchestra, Hanyang University (Ansan) Orchestra and the Anyang Symphony Youth Orchestra. Additionally, Mr. Kang was a part-time professor at Anyang University, Sudo International University and Korea Baptist Theological University. As well as a Conductor at Gimcheon Municipal Youth Orchestra and the Music Director at the Orchestra of Dream in ‘Anyang’. 

He is also interested in opera conducting and he has conducted several operas including, ‘Le nozze di Figaro’, ‘L’elisir d’amore’, ‘Rigoletto’, ‘Pagliacci’, ‘Cavalleria Rusticana’, ‘La Bohem’ and the ‘The Magic Flute’.

Inmo Kang has also participated in the Smoky Mountain International Conducting Competition and was awarded an Honorable Mention.

Currently, Mr. Kang is a renowned conductor for youth orchestras as he also he serves as a conductor of many orchestras including Anyang Civic Orchestra, Noble Symphony Orchestra, Anyang Symphony Orchestra, Joy Youth Orchestra, Konyang University Medical Orchestra, Sungkyunkwan University Medical Orchestra and the Orchestra of Dream in ‘Asan’.
