75 minute Buti Yoga class followed by a cello sound bath for meditation with Ceara Caisido
Zoom ID: 824 2501 4058
Ceara Caisido, our cellist/yoga instructor has developed this worthy program to help deserving minority candidates attend our summer program.
Proceeds from this yoga class to create scholarships for BIPOC scholarships to attend the academy this July/August.
Ceara says: “This festival changed my life when I attended it in 2018, and we would like the chance to create scholarships for minorities, the black community, and indigenous peoples, as well as people of color. This class and it’s proceeds are dedicated to raising funds for this scholarship and it’s opportunities for young musicians who may not be able to afford this amazing opportunity.”
This scholarship is inspired by Elijah McClain, who used to play his violin for cats on his work breaks, before his life was taken too soon due to the sad happenings in our world. A heart like Elijah’s is very rare in this world, and we would like to try to honor this amazing human by creating an opportunity for someone to learn and share their talents with our amazing faculty this Summer.
